Beeswax Food Wrap 101

WHAT IS BEE'S WRAP MADE OF?

Our Bee's Wrap is made of 100% cotton fabric, Organic beeswax, organic jojoba oil, and tree resin. This combination of ingredients creates a flexible food wrap with natural antibacterial properties that can be used again and again.

HOW DO I USE MY BEE'SWAX WRAP?

The secret is the warmth from your hands that softens the wraps just enough to allow them to stick! Simply crinkle the fabric to activate then use the warmth of your hands to cover a bowl, wrap half a lemon, or a piece of cheese. The wrap will hold its shape when it cools, creating a seal. Wash with cool water and gentle soap, and reuse.

Use your Bee’s Wrap to wrap cheese, vegetables, bread, fruit, fresh herbs, and baked goods. I like lining my vegetable drawer in the refrigerator and place my vegetable loose on it; the fabric is breathable and will help your veggies stay fresh longer.

Bee’s Wrap is not recommended for use with raw meat.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY BEE'S WRAP?

Wash your Bee’s Wrap in cool water with a mild dish soap. (Be careful not to expose them to heat or hot water). When cleaning them, simply wipe them with a dishcloth and some diluted
dishwater if necessary.) Air dry, fold and store in a drawer or in a basket on the counter. The beeswax and jojoba oil have antibacterial qualities that help to keep your food fresh and allow you to use the Bee's Wrap again and again.

CAN I USE BEE'S WRAP IN THE FREEZER?

Yes! Bee's Wrap keeps food fresh in the freezer for 2-3 weeks. Since your wraps are naturally breathable, we recommend you check on your food after this time to ensure its freshness. Great for freezing pizza dough and baked goods.

HOW LONG DOES BEE'S WRAP LAST?

Bee's Wrap lasts for up to a year with proper care and regular usage. You'll know your wrap has reached the end of its useful life in the kitchen when it has worn thin and soft and has trouble sticking to itself. At this time, you can either refresh it with a refresher kit or cut your wrap into strips and add to your compost pile, or use as a natural and effective fire starter.

DOES BEE'S WRAP HAVE A SCENT?
Yes. When you first open your package of Bee's Wrap you will smell the beeswax and the tree resin. The scent will fade after the first few uses and washes, until you can no longer detect it. We worked hard to get our wraps to still have that gorgeous natural smell to them and there is no need to worry about the smell transferring to your food, as it doesn’t happen!

WILL MY BEE'S WRAP LEAK COLOR ON MY FOOD?
No. The bee’s wax will not leak color from the fabric or from the wax onto your food. Although, sometimes a red bell leftovers might leave a color on the wrap itself. If you cleaned the wrap correctly, the stain from the red bell pepper will not transfer to other foods.

WHAT SIZE IS BEST FOR MY NEEDS?
We produce several sizes of Bee’s Wrap. If you are new to our product, we recommend starting with our assorted set of three sizes, which includes one each of our small (7"x8"), medium (10"x11"), and large (13"x14") wraps. Experiment with these in your kitchen to determine which size is most useful for you.
